All-time favourite Porridge Bowl

Porridge bowl with chia pudding

Especially in winter, when we wake up and it is still dark outside and way too cold to hatch out under the warm soft duvet, we need a motivation boost in the morning. Something to look forward to. So much that we leave the warm bed behind us and make our way to the kitchen. The solution: warm porridge that warms you from the inside and gives you strength for the day. Also quite healthy and made very fast.

Ingredients

80 - 100g soft oats
200ml water
200ml plant milk
1 banana
cinnamon

Optional:
seasonal fruit
yoghurt
nuts
granola
nut butter
chia seeds
flax seeds

Tactic

Mix oat, water and plant milk in a pot and heat up over a low heat.
Mash half of the banana. As soon as the oats start to absorb the liquid, add the mashed banana and a pinch of cinnamon and stir in well.
Heat up the porridge under continous stirring until all of the liquid is absorbed.

Then pour the porridge into two bowls and top with the other half of the banana. We also like adding granola. yoghurt, more fruit and peanut butter on top.
